The number of deaths on January 18 recorded 0 deaths. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 0 cases. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,186 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

Total deaths ranked 26th out of 230 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 139th out of 230 countries and territories in the world . Compared to Asia, total deaths ranked 7th out of 49 (ranked 3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 21st out of 49 countries and territories in Asia (ranked 3rd in ASEAN).
