On the evening of November 24, Guan Xiaotong updated a video of herself dancing to the Vietnamese song "If only you were heartless" , reaching 62,000 likes after a few hours of posting. The actress danced to the choreography that is creating a trend with users of the Douyin app (Chinese version of TikTok).

The original version performed by singer Ho Phong An, released in 2016 in ballad style with over 3 million views on YouTube. The song became more popular after being remixed, on Mum Remix channel 2 years ago, this song has a new version combined with Day Bien , attracting 30 million views. Some other remix and mashup versions also attracted millions of attention from the audience.

The Vietnamese dance and song that is trending on Douyin was "followed" by Guan Xiaotong.

The trending song has a catchy melody: “…It hurts so much, baby, I can’t put it into words/ I only know that I love you, I give you all my trust/ The day you said you were leaving, you didn’t need me, you made a mistake/ You said you loved me, and now you let go of me for someone else, do you know…”.

The music is short but has a climax, the drop is accented with electronic music , making the audience want to listen to it over and over again.

The song also has remix versions by other producers such as Qinn Media, Dai Meo Remix, Le Bao, but the trend on Douyin is the remix with female voice.

In October, the remix of "Vi yeu cu dam dau " by Min, Den and JustaTee also "made waves" on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) with a vibrant version, attracting millions of views and searches with the English name "Headlong into love". The song was loved by many Chinese stars and netizens, and this trend has not cooled down yet.

Many Vietnamese songs have suddenly become popular and trending on Douyin thanks to being remixed. Most of the songs became famous thanks to the remixed versions with youthful, catchy, and cheerful rhythms.

Vietnamese songs that were previously known to international audiences also followed this direction, typically the remix of See tinh by Cukak, the lyrics "Co khi anh dang troi em day khong" in the remix of Ke cap gim ba gia performed by Hoang Thuy Linh, became the background music for thousands of dance videos. Besides, there are many names such as Hai phut hon (KAIZ Remix ft Phao), Cu chill thoi by Chillies, Suni Ha Linh, Rhymastic, De den de di by Quang Hung MasterD...

The viral segments are not too long, usually just short music clips of about 15-30 seconds, suitable for short videos on Douyin, Xiaohongshu, TikTok, Facebook's Reels feature, YouTube...
