Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the working delegation, spoke at the closing ceremony of the class.

After nearly two weeks of intensive study and survey at many Australian facilities, the course completed its program as planned, opening up many new perspectives on digital transformation approaches in the public sector.

According to the delegation members' assessment, the program was built in depth, closely combining theory and practical surveys. In addition to lectures on big data, cyber security, smart cities, AI governance, the delegation had the opportunity to work with the Australian Parliament , New South Wales State Government agencies, Nokia Corporation, UTS TechLab Technology Center and Sydney Olympic Park Smart Urban Area... The working sessions and surveys at the facilities helped the delegation better understand how Australia organizes its apparatus, builds digital infrastructure and applies technology in state management, serving people and businesses.

Throughout the course, Australian experts emphasized that digital transformation is not simply about bringing administrative procedures online, but about comprehensively innovating management thinking. Process design, data connectivity and usage, feedback mechanisms, and the need to improve digital capacity for civil servants all create the foundation for building an effective digital government. In particular, ensuring data sovereignty , supply chain cybersecurity, and transparent AI governance are considered important pillars.

At UTS TechLab, the model of connection between universities, research institutes and businesses has left many deep impressions. Allowing businesses to set up laboratories and testing lines right on campus is a way to shorten the gap between research and application, bringing many suggestions for Vietnam's high-tech parks in developing innovation ecosystems.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the working delegation, highly appreciated UTS's preparation efforts and the serious learning spirit of the delegation members.

Experiences drawn from Australia, such as the model of organizing sovereign data, ensuring cybersecurity from the supply chain root, or responsible AI governance, are all of practical significance for Vietnam.

Representatives of the University of Technology Sydney, Professors Eryk Dutkiewicz and Nguyen Ngoc Diep, expressed their thanks to the Vietnamese delegation, highly appreciating the learning spirit and close cooperation between the two sides. Professor Eryk Dutkiewicz expressed his belief that the knowledge that students acquired from the course will be effectively applied in consulting and strategic planning work in Vietnam; at the same time, he affirmed that UTS wishes to continue expanding cooperation in training and research in the future. “Learning is always a two-way process.
