40-year-old candidate takes high school graduation exam with new program questions
Sharing with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Tran Tien Phuoc said that he is working in the drainage industry in Ho Chi Minh City. During the day he works, in the evening he is a student at the Vocational - ContinuingEducation Center of District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first time a candidate born in 1985 has taken the high school graduation exam and will take the exam with the 2018 General Education Program.

In addition to the two compulsory exams in literature and math, Mr. Tran Tien Phuoc will take two elective exams in history, economic education and law.
"I'm quite worried and nervous. I've been studying quite hard lately to prepare for the exam. I went to bed earlier last night so that my mind would be relaxed this morning to do better on the literature exam," said the 40-year-old candidate.

Mr. Tran Tien Phuoc added that he himself had not had the opportunity to finish high school and take the graduation exam. "Now that I have the opportunity, I have to go to school and do what I have not been able to do. First, I am determined to pass high school graduation, then maybe I will study more, in the field I am working in, which is environment and drainage," the male candidate added.
Notably, Mr. Phuoc said that what motivated him to study and pass the high school graduation exam at the age of 40 was "that he wanted his children to look at him to study hard, study hard, and not miss many opportunities in life".
Teacher Luu Van Hoa encouraged his students to be confident before taking the literature exam.

Teacher Hoa said that his student Tran Tien Phuoc is the same age as him - 40 years old - and this is a hard-working student, determined to study. The history teacher believes that learning is a lifelong journey. With willpower, diligence, and clear goals, everyone will pass exams and achieve success in life.
