The Literature exam has 2 parts: Reading comprehension with 5 questions (4 points) and writing with 2 questions (6 points). According to teachers and most candidates, this year's Literature exam is consistent with the 2018 generaleducation program, scientific, reasonable, suitable for students' abilities, and able to classify students.
Tran Thi Anh Thu, a candidate for Lao Cai City High School No. 1, said: The exam was suitable for students, not too difficult. Thanks to the careful guidance of the teachers, we were not surprised before the exam, and I did quite well.
Dang Thi Tuyet Thuy, a candidate for Bac Cuong Secondary and High School (Lao Cai City), shared: This year's exam was within the students' ability. According to the candidates and teachers, with this year's Literature exam, candidates can easily get an average score, but to get a high score, candidates must demonstrate their thinking and creativity as well as their own views on life issues. Teacher Ngo Thi Thu Trang, Literature teacher at Ngo Van So Secondary School (Lao Cai city) said: This year's exam is good, closely following the Department's exam structure orientation as well as the goals of the 2018 general education program so that students can develop their own abilities.
Although it rained in some areas, affecting the candidates' travel, the cool air also created conditions for candidates to do better on the test.
According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province, the whole province had 10,762 candidates taking the Literature exam at 38 exam locations, 72 candidates were absent compared to the registration. At the end of the exam, there were no candidates or staff violating exam regulations.
The 10th grade entrance exam will be held until the morning of June 6. The whole province has 38 examination councils with 500 examination rooms located in districts, towns and cities.
On the afternoon of June 4, candidates will continue to take the second exam - Mathematics, with a duration of 120 minutes. The exam will start at 2:00 p.m. Candidates should be present at the exam room from 1:15 p.m. to complete the exam procedures.
