On the morning of June 7, at Hung Vuong High School (District 5), many parents were present early to accompany their children, sending words of encouragement before the Math exam.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho (Tan Phu District) and her daughter arrived at the exam site at 6am. Even though her house is nearby, she still stayed at the school gate to wait for her daughter to finish her exam. Her daughter Yen Ny was quite worried about the 10th grade entrance exam, but after the first two subjects, her mentality was somewhat stable thanks to her good test results.
"Because I'm forgetful, I have to set my phone wallpaper and paste notes all over the house so I can prepare all the necessary supplies for my daughter during the exam," Ms. Tho added.
Candidates take the opportunity to review math formulas before entering the exam room.
According to the records, on the final exam day, the candidates were all radiant and confident.
Phan Ngoc Kim Anh (Nguyen An Khuong Secondary School) holds a scratch paper of the English exam as a souvenir. The female student confidently brags: "I got 9 points in English, now I only need 9 points in Math."

In the school yard, the candidates were chatting excitedly about the exam the day before. "Last year the Math exam was so difficult that we were very worried. My friends and I studied a lot, now we just need to get above average scores," Quy Bao said.
At 7:00 a.m., candidates entered the exam room. The invigilator checked the computer equipment and told the students to check their seats and equipment before starting the exam.
Candidates take the 10th grade Math exam in 120 minutes. Compared to Literature and English, Math is considered the hardest subject to score points.
