Ba Chuc town and O Lam commune summarize the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

On May 27, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Ba Chuc town and O Lam commune (Tri Ton district) held a summary of the Program for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

Ba Chuc Town is one of five localities awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. Through review, in 2025, there are 170 households in need of housing. Of these, there is 1 meritorious household; 110 poor and near-poor households benefiting from the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction and 59 other poor and near-poor households. To date, 170 houses have been completed. Each newly built house is a level 4 house, with a minimum area of ​​32m2, walls, corrugated iron roof, tiled floor, and toilet. On average, each newly built house is supported with 60 million VND; the total construction cost is 10.2 billion VND.

O Lam commune is also one of the 5 heroic communes of the People's Armed Forces and is a particularly difficult locality of Tri Ton district. Through the results of investigation and review, there are 168 households in need of housing in the commune, including 1 policy household (repair); 167 poor and near-poor households in need of building new houses. Of these, 103 poor and near-poor households benefit from 2 national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction and socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; 64 poor and near-poor households do not benefit from the programs.

Each newly built house has an area of ^​​32m2 - ^90m2 , ensuring "3 hard", corrugated iron roof, brick walls and floors, toilet, and a usage value of over 20 years. The construction cost of each house is from 62 - 140 million VND, of which the central budget and the local dilapidated house elimination program fund support 60 million VND per house, the rest is contributed by the family.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ba Chuc town and O Lam commune awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
