On average in the world , for every 1 doctor there are 3-4 nurses. In Japan there are even 9-10 nurses/doctor; in Vietnam there are less than 2 nurses/doctor.
Aiming at both treatment and patient care
"We must focus on both treatment and patient care, not just treatment. Because hospitals lack nurses, domestic patients often bring 1-2 family members when they go to the hospital; patients have to wait a long time to receive care. Without nurses, patients are at a disadvantage," said nursing doctor Dang Tran Ngoc Thanh.

The conference had 400 delegates from the Ministry of Health, dental and maxillofacial clinics. There were 28 reports and 3 practice programs covering all important areas of nursing from technical expertise, nutrition, care, quality management - patient safety, infection control, communication, health education...
