In Decision No. 815/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Colonel Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, to hold the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, Ministry of National Defense . The President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed Decision No. 717/QD-CTN dated April 24, 2025 promoting the rank of Colonel to Major General for comrade Hoang Duy Chien.
Major General Hoang Duy Chien was born on May 5, 1974, in Thai Hoa commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province. He has held many positions in grassroots units, such as: Commander of Infantry Regiment 3, Division 324; Division Commander of Division 324 and Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4.
In his congratulatory speech to Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region, emphasized: The Party and State's decision to transfer, appoint and promote Major General Hoang Duy Chien demonstrates deep concern, trust and recognition of the great achievements and contributions of comrade Hoang Duy Chien in the cause of building the Army and defending the Fatherland.
The Command of Military Region 4 presented flowers to congratulate Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of the Military Region.
The Political Commissar of the Military Region hopes that, in his new position, with heavier responsibilities and duties, Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of the Military Region, will promote his revolutionary ethics, qualifications, capacity, and work experience, quickly approach the work, and together with the Party Committee and the Military Region Command, lead and direct the Military Region's armed forces to excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party, State, Army, People, comrades and teammates.
