(NLDO) – According to Major General Le Vinh Quy, the police force has arrested a total of 74 subjects, including the ringleaders, and Dak Lak is now peaceful.

On the morning of June 20, Dak Lak Provincial Police held a meeting with press agencies on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the meeting, Major General Le Vinh Quy, Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that regarding the attack on the two headquarters of the People's Committees of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes (Cu Kuin district), immediately after the incident, under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security , Dak Lak Provincial Police concentrated forces with the determination to arrest all subjects. Up to now, the police force has arrested and temporarily detained a total of 74 subjects for strict handling according to the provisions of the law.

All the ringleaders of this attack have been arrested. Currently, there are only 2 suspects on the run but they do not play a key role and the police are determined to capture them to handle them according to regulations. "Dak Lak is at peace!" - Major General Le Vinh Quy shared.

At the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Van Quy, Chief of Staff of Dak Lak Provincial Police, briefly informed about the results of ensuring security, order and social safety of Dak Lak Provincial Police in the past 6 months.

Regarding the attack on two commune People's Committee headquarters in Cu Kuin, Colonel Nguyen Van Quy said that although some reactionary elements had been fought, dealt with, and reformed by authorities and people at all levels, and given favorable conditions to stabilize their lives, they still secretly contacted and received instructions from some exiled reactionary elements and engaged in some sabotage activities.

Notably, at 0:35 on June 11, in Cu Kuin district, two groups of people broke into and attacked the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, causing 11 casualties and taking three people hostage with the aim of opposing the people's government and establishing the "De Ga State".

As soon as the incident occurred, the Provincial Police promptly reported to the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee; at the same time, coordinating with professional forces, synchronously deploying professional measures to investigate, examine the scene, surround and block off related areas. Protecting government headquarters, ensuring security and safety for people and focusing on arresting the subjects. Coordinating with news agencies and newspapers to step up propaganda work, orienting public opinion, stabilizing the situation. At the same time, promptly advising on implementing policies for families of soldiers and officers who sacrificed and were injured and visiting and encouraging families of victims.

Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments to synchronously deploy measures to investigate and safely rescue 3 hostages. They pursued, fought, and worked with 109 related subjects, arresting 74 subjects.
