U23 Vietnam and Indonesia are the two names advancing to the final of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, after the semi-final matches taking place on July 25.

In the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, U23 Vietnam defeated U23 Philippines 2-1. Meanwhile, U23 Indonesia defeated Thailand 7-6 on penalties after the two teams drew 1-1 in 120 minutes of play.

Thus, the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship will be the match between U23 Vietnam and Indonesia, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on July 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

Vietnam U23 has won the Southeast Asian U23 Championship twice in a row (2022 and 2023) and is aiming for a hat-trick of championships if it defeats Indonesia U23 in the upcoming final.

On the other hand, U23 Indonesia has home field advantage and is determined to defeat Vietnam to win the championship. In terms of strength, U23 Indonesia is considered equal to U23 Vietnam.

Before the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, U23 Thailand will meet the Philippines in the third-place match at 8:00 p.m. on July 28.
