On January 31, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province - had a quick report to the Provincial People's Committee on the organization of cultural, sports and tourism activities on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025.
Accordingly, this year's Tet holiday, the number of visitors and tourists staying in the province increased significantly compared to the same period in 2024, increasing both international and domestic visitors.
Specifically, the total number of visitors and tourists from December 26 to the second day of Tet is estimated at 255,000, an increase of 78% over the same period last year.
Of which, international visitors are estimated at 115,000, up 84% over the same period, domestic visitors are estimated at 140,000, up 55%.
According to this department, room occupancy rate is estimated at 60%.
Many activities and events to celebrate Tet were also organized, specifically, the Provincial Cultural Center coordinated with the People's Committee of Tam Ky City to organize the art program Quang Nam - Welcome New Year 2025 and Countdown Tam Ky 2025 at 24/3 Square.

Fireworks display to welcome the new year will be held at two locations: 24/3 Square, Tam Ky City and Hoi An Park.

Annual activities have created Hoi An's cultural identity such as the Spring Festival, the Tree Planting Festival, the Tet pole raising ceremony, and the spring boat racing.

At Hoiana Resort & Golf, there is a bustling hot air balloon show, where visitors can admire the colorful hot air balloons and a series of traditional activities and Tet festivals, including: art performances, unique culture, traditional calligraphy, lion and dragon dances, God of Wealth parade, Spring tea ceremony, and art performances.

Phu Yen welcomes more than 114,500 tourists
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen, the total number of tourists to the locality during the Lunar New Year 2025 from January 29 to February 2 (the first and fifth days of Tet) is estimated at 114,500, an increase of 9% over the same period last year (in 2024 it was 105,000).
Of which, there are 970 international visitors, an increase of 49% over the same period last year (in 2024, there will be 650 international visitors).
Total number of guests staying is estimated at 63,700, up 7% over the same period last year (in 2024 it was 59,500 guests); of which there are an estimated 710 international guests.
Average room occupancy rate is over 60%; some large-scale hotels with high number of bookings such as Sala Grand Tuy Hoa Hotel, Rosa Alba Resort Tuy Hoa have room occupancy rate reaching 100% on the 3rd and 4th day of Tet.
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND241 billion, up 25% over the same period last year (VND192.3 billion in 2024), of which accommodation revenue is estimated at VND37.4 billion.
The number of visitors to the special national relic Ganh Da Dia, the national relic Thap Nhan and the scenic spot Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lanh from January 29 to January 30 (the first and second days of Tet) reached 12,770.
Of which, at the special national relic Ganh Da Dia there were 5,890 visitors; the special national relic Thap Nhan had 5,900 visitors; and the scenic spot Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lanh had 980 visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Le Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen said that from the 2nd to the 4th, visitors from neighboring provinces and visitors traveling along the North - South route always chose Phu Yen as a sightseeing and stopping point, so the number of tourists increased compared to last year, mainly domestic visitors.
According to some travel agencies, this year the Tet holiday is relatively short, so tourists often choose nearby destinations with short stays, and day tours are preferred.
On the 5th day of Tet (February 2), families must prepare to go back to work on Monday (February 3). The number of accommodation rooms in Phu Yen will only reach high capacity from the 2nd and 3rd days of Tet and then gradually decrease. This year's Tet holiday will not have the situation of "full rooms" like last year.
