Weather on May 28: Thunderstorms cover the whole country

(PLVN) - Today, May 29, many areas across the country have moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain.

The Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that this evening until the night of May 29, the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-100mm, locally over 200mm.

From early morning of May 29 to morning of May 30, the North Central region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally over 100mm.

From the afternoon of May 28 to May 29, in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally over 100mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).

The Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns of the risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/3h).

In addition, in the late afternoon and evening of May 28, the South Central region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with common rainfall from 15-30mm, and in some places over 60mm.

From May 30, heavy rain in the above areas tends to decrease. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
