Meaningful message in the book "There is someone who accompanies me through the years"

Following “Loving someone who already has a lover” (2023) and “What to say to make students happy?” (2024), author Nguyen Hai Trieu has just released his third book to readers: “There is someone who accompanies us through the years”. The book is like a companion that adds positive energy to young people on their journey to adulthood and discovering life.

“There is a person who accompanies me through the years” is a collection of 18 stories inspired by Hai Trieu’s childhood memories and his journey to adulthood. Each story is a milestone telling about the challenges he has faced in life.

Without any formality or fussiness, “There is a person who goes with me through the years” is written in a simple, emotional storytelling style. Hai Trieu skillfully brings readers back to childhood memories of kite flying in the fields, dark nights carrying lanterns with friends or joyful Tet holidays…

There, readers can touch on "Memories of Grandpa", "Grandma's Dream", understand more about the thoughts of a child who lacks attention from his parents in "Brothers and Sisters in One House", and also the torment and regret when facing reality and past mistakes in "Game Addiction", "Memoirs"...

The common point of the 18 stories is that despite experiencing loss, failure or hurt, the author still chooses to face it with a positive mindset, constantly searching for inner peace and continuing to create values ​​for life.

Compared to his two previous works, Hai Trieu said the biggest difference between “There is a person who goes with me through the years” is the experience. It took him more than a year to complete the story, composing, abandoning and rewriting it many times.

“If at the age of 28, I liked to write about the emotions and pink of love, then at the age of 30, literature is where I express the indescribable ups and downs of life. It is the journey when a child has to accept becoming an adult, living with the responsibilities of an adult, but the most important thing is that we need to love ourselves and give wings to the child inside to achieve the best things,” he said.

Working in many different roles such as director, actor, MC, writer, etc., Hai Trieu is not afraid of being criticized for being a multi-faceted person. He calls himself a “multi-universe person”. Because in each field, he brings a different color. From the image of a humorous person when acting to a philosophical teacher when teaching, from a strict director to an energetic MC.

As for literature, it is a place for him to send his thoughts and reflections, and also a place where he confides about his life. He hopes that his books will truly touch the hearts of readers, because childhood trauma is a big scar that is difficult to heal. “I hope that those like me will find their own way and a boat good enough to overcome all the storms of life,” Hai Trieu expressed.

Present at the book launch, People's Artist My Uyen said that the material of the book gave her a lot of inspiration to be able to turn it into a stage play. She also hopes that she and Hai Trieu can soon realize this idea.

Nguyen Hai Trieu was born in 1995, won the Golden Microphone 2016 and Silver Swallow HTV Host 2019. In addition, he is also an invited lecturer at many colleges and universities. Besides, Hai Trieu also tried his hand at the film industry with the works: "How long do you love me?", "Chasing youth", "The chessboard of fame".
