New information on e-commerce platform tax management

The Ministry of Finance provides information on tax management, including tax collection results from business organizations and individuals engaged in e-commerce activities.

According to the Ministry of Finance , tax collection from business organizations and individuals with e-commerce and other digital economic activities in the first 5 months of 2025 was 74.4 trillion VND, an increase of 55% over the same period in 2024, of which:

158 foreign suppliers have registered for tax, declared and paid taxes via the Electronic Information Portal with the amount of tax declared and paid in the first 5 months of 2025 being VND 5.7 trillion, an increase of 41% over the same period in 2024.

100,000 business households and individuals registered for tax, declared tax, and paid tax on the Electronic Information Portal for Business Households and Individuals, with the amount of tax paid in the first 5 months of 2025 being nearly 1.1 trillion VND.

Nearly 93,000 organizations and individuals with e-commerce business activities paid 67.6 trillion VND in taxes in the first 5 months of 2025.

Also according to the Ministry of Finance, regarding tax handling for e-commerce business activities, the tax authority has reviewed 164,661 taxpayers, of which the tax authority has collected additional taxes from enterprises with an amount of more than VND 416 billion; collected additional taxes from individuals and business households in 25,201 cases with an amount of more than VND 331 billion.
