The funeral of former President Tran Duc Luong will take place at Thong Nhat Hall (135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 1), from 7am on May 24 to 7am on May 25.
Specifically, from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. on May 24, delegations of former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and delegations of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, together with leaders from different periods; delegations of Central agencies, delegations of the Party Committee, Military Region 7 Command; delegations of Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces, delegations of all classes of people, delegations of outstanding youth, teenagers and children of Ho Chi Minh City came to pay their respects.
From 8:30 to 11:00 on May 24, delegations of central agencies stationed in Ho Chi Minh City and delegations of provinces and cities visited.
From 11am to 12pm on May 24, delegations from diplomatic agencies visited.
From 12:00 to 19:00 on May 24, delegations of the Party Committees of the City Party Committee, the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council, the Office of the City People's Committee; the Military - People - Government - Party delegation of Thu Duc City and districts, departments, branches, sectors, political and social organizations of the City; delegations of Ho Chi Minh City enterprises, delegations of Party Committees at the grassroots level directly under the City Party Committee; district unions, county unions, other political and social organizations and the masses came to pay their respects.
From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on May 24, delegations from wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City visited.
The memorial service will take place at 7am on May 25.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also announced that the national flag will be flown at half-mast and all public entertainment activities will be suspended during the two days of national mourning (May 24 and 25).
Ho Chi Minh City also established an Organizing Committee for the visitation and memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong in Ho Chi Minh City, headed by Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc.
