Quang Da bridge connecting Quang Nam - Da Nang opens to traffic

On the morning of March 27, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to technically open the Quang Da Bridge project and the bridge approach road to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City.

Quang Da Bridge has a total investment capital of more than 274 billion VND from the Da Nang city budget, invested by the Da Nang Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Transport and Agriculture , 1,408 m long.

The starting point of the project intersects with National Highway 14B at Km 31+087, the end point connects with the northern belt road project of Quang Nam province.

Quang Da Bridge has 4 lanes, the construction time according to the contract is from December 2023 to May 2025, however, Da Nang City has asked contractors to speed up the progress to open to traffic on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).

The project has special significance, not only connecting convenient traffic between Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, gradually completing the regional traffic network, promoting the socio-economic development of the two localities west of Da Nang City, but also demonstrating the friendship between the two provinces and cities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, affirmed that the Quang Da Bridge project has special political and social significance in the development of Da Nang and Quang Nam, and is a symbol of solidarity between the two localities.

The Chairman of Da Nang City said that during the resistance war years, the road connecting Hoa Khuong commune (Da Nang City) and Dien Tien commune (Quang Nam) was the lifeline of the army and people, the revolutionary base area was protected by the people, suffered many losses and sacrifices.

The items are being accelerated to be handed over and put into use soon.

Therefore, Da Nang City has invested in building Quang Da Bridge to connect the two localities, creating momentum and opening up new opportunities to promote the socio-economic development of the region.

"Given the special significance of the project, I suggest that after the technical opening, the units continue to speed up the progress, urgently complete the project to put it into operation soon, and continuously maintain and service the project to ensure safety and promote its value," Mr. Le Trung Chinh directed.
