Attracting investment in ethnic minority and mountainous areas

The lives of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas are increasingly better cared for.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has issued a Plan to support investment attraction activities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in Khanh Hoa Province for the period 2021 - 2025. This Plan aims to exploit the potential advantages of investment promotion, trade and tourism in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, supporting the process of economic restructuring towards increasing the proportion of goods and services in extremely disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas based on local potential and strengths; creating jobs and stable incomes combined with preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities.

According to the Plan, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requests to organize and implement investment attraction activities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas annually to ensure synchronization, unity, practicality, efficiency and compliance with State regulations; closely follow the objectives of the Sub-project, contributing to the completion of the objectives and targets of the Phase I Program: from 2021 to 2025 according to Decision No. 1719/QD-TTg dated October 14, 2021 of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, the implementation of 4 main contents includes: Organizing promotional activities, attracting investment, connecting product consumption, fairs, exchanges, forums, festivals associated with tourism trade; Supporting the construction and implementation of a number of models to consume products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas and supplying essential goods; Communication to promote products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Organizing training courses to develop commercial human resources.

The Provincial Ethnic Committee is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to guide the implementation of investment attraction activities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas under content No. 3, Sub-project 2 - Project 3 of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in Khanh Hoa Province for the period 2021 - 2025.

The plan is implemented in the period of 2021 - 2025; the funding source for implementation is from the state budget allocated annually to support investment attraction in ethnic minority and mountainous areas under Content No. 3, Sub-project 2, Project 3 of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period of 2021 - 2025.
