During the two resistance wars against foreign invaders, the whole commune had more than 146 people killed in the brutal massacres of the South Korean army, 1,058 heroic martyrs fell for national independence, 403 wounded soldiers and more than 628 cadres and people were imprisoned by the enemy. The whole commune has 3 Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; 286 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; 687 Resistance Medals of various types; 67 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister .
