Accordingly, at 12 noon on October 27, Phu Ninh irrigation reservoir was at 30.27m. To maintain the highest water level to ensure proper operation until the end of October at 30.5m, Quang Nam Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited operated and regulated the reservoir through deep spillway. The regulated flow was from 30-700m3 /s, starting from 3:00 pm on October 27.

Phu Ninh Lake is the largest irrigation lake in Da Nang City, with a capacity of about 344 million m3 and a water surface area of about 3,433 hectares. When operating to discharge water, downstream communes such as Tam Anh, Huong Tra, Ban Thach, Thang Dien, Thang Truong, Duy Nghia, Duy Xuyen... may be affected.
Also at noon on October 27, the Central Hydrometeorological Station issued a flood warning in Da Nang City. Accordingly, from 5am until now, the Da Nang area has had heavy to very heavy rain. The total rainfall is generally 50-100mm, with some places as high as Nong Son 258mm, Hiep Duc 247mm, Thanh My 148mm.
Currently, the water level on rivers is rising rapidly, on Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers, the water level is above alert level 3, Han River is above alert level 1. In the next 24 hours, there is a risk of widespread deep flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, and urban flooding in 22 communes and wards of Da Nang city.
