Tax collection from organizations and individuals doing e-commerce business reached 74.4 trillion VND

Tax collection from organizations and individuals doing e-commerce and digital economy business in the first 5 months of 2025 is 74.4 trillion VND, an increase of 55% over the same period in 2024.

According to information from the Tax Department, of these, 158 foreign suppliers have registered for tax, declared and paid tax via the Electronic Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers, with an amount of VND5.7 trillion, an increase of 41%.

100,000 business households and individuals registered for tax, declared tax, and paid tax on the Electronic Information Portal for Business Households and Individuals, with an amount of nearly 1.1 trillion VND.

Nearly 93 thousand organizations and individuals with commercial business activities have paid 67.6 trillion VND in taxes.

Regarding tax treatment for e-commerce business activities, the tax authority has reviewed 164,661 taxpayers.

Of which, the collection of arrears from enterprises was over VND416 billion; arrears from individuals and business households were 25,201 cases with the amount of over VND331 billion.
