Prime Minister offers incense at Uncle Ho Temple and Martyrs

On the morning of July 27, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central delegation offered incense and flowers at the Temple of Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs of the province; offered incense at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple at Long Dai ferry and the memorial stele of 16 young volunteers who sacrificed their lives at Long Dai ferry. Attending were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

On the side of Quang Tri province, there were Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Committee Secretary Le Ngoc Quang; Alternate Central Party Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and armed forces.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang performed the bell-ringing ceremony at the Temple of Uncle Ho and the province's heroic martyrs.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of our Party and People, the National Liberation Hero, and the World Cultural Celebrity. The Prime Minister and the delegation also expressed their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their youth, blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the happiness of the People.

The Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple at Long Dai Ferry and the memorial stele of 16 Youth Volunteers who died at Long Dai Ferry are places that mark the memories of the sacrifices of the Youth Volunteers on the Truong Son Trail during the resistance war against the US. This is also the place where the US dropped the first bomb in the war to destroy the North from 1965 to 1972.
