( Bqp.vn ) – On December 22, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister attended the inauguration ceremony of the project to rebuild the residential area of Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province). At the same time, an online television bridge took place in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune and Kho Vang village, Coc Leu commune (Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province).

Attending the inauguration ceremony were General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense . Also attending were leaders of Central Committees, Ministries and branches, leaders and representatives of functional agencies of Lao Cai province, Bao Yen district, Phuc Khanh commune and people of Lang Nu village.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on mobilizing resources, restoring infrastructure, supporting production, and stabilizing people's lives, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Vietnam Television to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Lang Nu resettlement area. The Ministry of National Defense quickly deployed forces, directly assigning the task to Army Corps 12 (Ministry of National Defense) to carry out the reconstruction of Lang Nu village.
Immediately after receiving the mission, the 12th Corps established a Steering Committee and organized forces to go to the scene to coordinate with Lao Cai province and related agencies and units to conduct a field survey and develop a plan to rebuild the residential area of Lang Nu village. Up to now, the resettlement area has been completed with 40 newly built spacious houses, 1 community house, 1 school including 2 primary classes and 2 kindergarten classes. Electricity, water and public lighting infrastructure were built synchronously, combined with planting trees to create a landscape for the residential area.

Returning to Lang Nu, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was deeply moved when offering incense at the memorial stele for the victims and visiting the area displaying photos and artifacts of the flash flood that caused landslides in Lang Nu village. More than 3 months ago, this land was devastated by mud with broken trees, fallen rocks, and buried houses; many Lang Nu villagers had passed away.

While inspecting the landslide area, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested local Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, military and police forces to continue to focus on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; solving environmental sanitation work, preventing epidemics from occurring, ensuring traffic and educational facilities for students to go to school, and organizing livelihoods for people. Local authorities and specialized agencies will survey safe locations to restore Lang Nu village, and complete it by December 31 at the latest.

Following the Prime Minister's direction, the entire political system has taken care of social security and stabilized the lives of the people. The Lang Nu residential reconstruction area has been completed quickly. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion when attending the inauguration ceremony of the Lang Nu residential reconstruction project. Meeting with people whose relatives were victims, the Prime Minister shared the loss and encouraged the people to feel secure in their new homes.

At the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh drew out 6 important meanings: First, the spirit of great national solidarity was promoted. When facing difficulties and challenges, the spirit of solidarity is a solid foundation for the people to overcome. Second, love for people, comradeship, brotherhood, mutual love, and the spirit of helping each other were promoted in the most difficult and dangerous times. Third, the completion of the reconstruction area is a manifestation of the implementation of the policy of not sacrificing social security to pursue simple growth and not leaving anyone behind. Fourth, it demonstrates the determination of the Party Committee, the government and all the people, agencies and units, including the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister with the determination to do what they said and to do what they committed to. Fifth, it contributes to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State. Sixth, nothing is impossible, turning nothing into something, turning difficult into easy, with a spirit of life arising from death.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, commended and thanked local Party committees, authorities, organizations and philanthropists for their joint efforts in building the reconstruction areas. The Prime Minister commended the Army, directly the forces participating in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, and the 12th Army Corps participating in building the reconstruction areas. The actions of the army have demonstrated the spirit of "Serving the People", contributing to beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. It is especially meaningful when the residential reconstruction areas are inaugurated on the occasion of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.

The Prime Minister requested the Party Committee and the Lao Cai provincial government to continue to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, help people settle down and boost production. By December 31, 2025, research, design and construct Lang Nu, build a dam and lake to create an ecological environment for people to raise aquatic products. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment urgently submitted to the Government a project to prevent natural disasters, storms, floods and landslides in the North and Central regions, considering this a fundamental, safe, secure and safe solution for the people. Lao Cai completed the removal of 11,000 temporary and dilapidated houses before December 31, 2025.
