On August 18, on the occasion of Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra being approved by the King of Thailand to be the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter. On August 18, the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn officially approved Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra to hold the position of Prime Minister of the country. This decision was made just 2 days after Ms. Paetongtarn won the vote to elect Prime Minister in the House of Representatives. Ms. Paetongtarn's appointment ceremony took place at the Voice Space Building hall at 9:29 a.m. on August 18. The new Prime Minister's relatives, including her parents, siblings and husband, along with former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and many others, attended the event. Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Paetongtarn said that being appointed by the Royal Family was the greatest honor and pride in her life.
