On the afternoon of October 20th, Scoot Airlines flight TR314, departing from Changi International Airport (Singapore), landed at Da Nang International Airport with 174 passengers. This was the airline's first flight to Da Nang city.

Passengers were surprised by the formal welcome program organized by the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the International Arrivals area of Da Nang International Airport, which included a water cannon salute to welcome the aircraft, traditional art performances, the presentation of flowers and souvenirs to passengers, and commemorative photo sessions.

The tourists were all excited and touched by the warm, friendly, and hospitable welcome from the city.

According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, with its geographical proximity, convenient air connections and cultural similarities within the ASEAN region, the number of tourists from Singapore to Da Nang has recorded a stable growth trend.

The expansion of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang, along with the operation of all three airlines – Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Scoot Airlines – has increased the total frequency of flights from Singapore to Da Nang to 24 flights per week.

These flights have contributed to strengthening tourist exchanges between Singapore and Da Nang, and have also expanded opportunities for cooperation in tourism development between the two locations in the future.

This flight marked the official launch of Scoot Airlines' direct Singapore-Da Nang route, with three flights per week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The airline plans to increase the frequency to 7 flights per week starting in January 2026. The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, which have a capacity of 180-186 seats.

Scoot Airlines is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, operating medium- and long-haul flights from Singapore to over 70 destinations in 16 countries across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe; including prominent cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Athens, and Berlin.

In Vietnam, Scoot Airlines currently operates direct flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phu Quoc, and Da Nang.
