During his previous working trip, the Prime Minister requested Vinh Long province to coordinate with the families of the late leaders to renovate and embellish the two memorial areas into open spaces, plant more trees and expand the area to create convenience, closeness and friendliness for all people and tourists when visiting.
This time, the Prime Minister came to inspect and highly appreciate Vinh Long province and his family for doing a very good job at the Memorial Site of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet, and at the same time, there was a design plan for the Memorial Site of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung.
The Prime Minister assigned Vinh Long province to continue to coordinate with the family to soon complete the renovation, thereby contributing to both expressing gratitude for the contributions of the leaders, educating historical traditions, and promoting tourism development for the locality.
According to the family of the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet, the Memorial Site currently welcomes about 2,000 visitors each week to visit and offer incense.
*On the same afternoon, during the working program in Tien Giang province, the Prime Minister and the working delegation came to offer incense, express gratitude, and commemorate the merits of the National Hero, Binh Tay Grand Marshal Truong Dinh - one of the typical examples of patriotism, indomitable spirit, and steadfast will to fight against foreign invaders of the nation at his Temple in Go Cong Dong district.
