These are successful overseas Vietnamese businesses in many fields. American society has seen an increasing number of successful Vietnamese people in many fields, including the emergence of Vietnamese businesses worth hundreds of millions of dollars, even billions of dollars.
Business leaders highly appreciate Vietnam's increasingly improved and open investment and business environment, the correct leadership and management of the Party and State, and the dynamic, close, and drastic direction and administration of the Government and Prime Minister.
Business leaders expressed their joy at the new progress in Vietnam-US relations, which has created many new opportunities for trade and investment activities; shared about their operations and plans, investment projects and cooperation in the coming time in Vietnam.
Business leaders affirmed that the Vietnamese community here is very dynamic, people and businesses are united, looking towards their homeland and wanting to contribute more to the development of the country and the relationship between the two countries.
Sharing with business leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the important significance of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Joe Biden's announcement to upgrade Vietnam-US relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Vietnam identifies innovation as the driving force for Vietnam's economic development in the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Vietnam and the United States have agreed to make technology, innovation and investment truly important new pillars of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the overseas Vietnamese business community's increasing contributions to the development of Vietnam's economy and increased investment in the Vietnamese market.
To date, overseas Vietnamese have had 385 investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of over 1.7 billion USD and contributed capital to thousands of enterprises in Vietnam. This is a huge source of capital actively serving the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
The Prime Minister affirmed that our Party and State have policies and guidelines that show concern and care for the Vietnamese community abroad; creating a foundation to consolidate the great national unity bloc and help our compatriots have a solid legal status, stabilize their lives, and actively contribute to the cause of national construction and the relationship between the two countries; continuing to affirm the importance of promoting the resources of overseas Vietnamese businessmen.
The Prime Minister asked the overseas Vietnamese business community to make the most of the great opportunities from the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the US; pay more attention to the Vietnamese market and cooperate with domestic enterprises; and become a bridge to help Vietnam participate more deeply in the global supply chain.
The Prime Minister asked the overseas Vietnamese business community to operate in accordance with the law, thereby contributing to the development of the US, Vietnam and the relationship between the two countries.
The Prime Minister suggested that businesses focus on a number of areas such as innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, sharing economy, climate change response, etc., to create new development momentum.
The Prime Minister said he would raise these issues in talks with leaders from the US and San Francisco.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister and leaders of ministries and branches informed about a number of new policies related to immigration, labor, etc. to create more favorable conditions for foreign investors, especially overseas Vietnamese.
Regarding the wishes and proposals of businesses, the Prime Minister shared and acknowledged the opinions and will request relevant ministries, branches and agencies to focus on reviewing, researching and soon having appropriate solutions in a timely and thorough spirit.
