Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspects the construction of the Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway Project.

Inspecting the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway in Quang Hoa district (Cao Bang), the Prime Minister emphasized the requirement that by December 31, 2025, the entire country will open the expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau; therefore, he requested investors and contractors to increase productivity and increase shifts to ensure this progress; localities must be more proactive in providing ground leveling materials.

The Prime Minister stated that this has strategic significance in developing transport infrastructure, and is also a practical way to pay tribute to previous generations who sacrificed their blood and bones to fight for national independence; stating that Cao Bang has complex mountainous terrain, facing many difficulties in transport infrastructure, so it is necessary to actively work with the contractor to complete this expressway, thereby creating favorable conditions for a smooth transport network, thereby reducing product costs, logistics costs, and creating a smooth arterial road.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is an important political task for the purpose of national development, and at the same time, we must surpass ourselves, accelerate, break through, and reach higher goals. To do so, Deo Ca Group - the contractor - must apply science and technology, invest in new technologies; must invest and innovate; ensure safety at the construction site; must ensure and even exceed progress, go hand in hand with quality; ensure environmental sanitation, actively apply circular economy, "dig here, fill there"; learn from experience while working, and gradually expand.

The Prime Minister said that in a meeting with ministries, branches, localities and units on the afternoon of February 2, the Prime Minister will decide to immediately invest in the construction of phase 2 of this expressway to Tra Linh, so the approval procedures must be changed, localities must continue to clear the land and investors must speed up further because of the experience in some recent expressway projects, if phase 1 is completed for a while before expanding phase 2, it will be much more costly than investing in both phases at once.

The Prime Minister also decided to build a highway connecting Dong Dang-Tra Linh route to Ta Lung border gate; invest in a highway connecting Dong Dang-Tra Linh route with Cao Bang city.

According to the Prime Minister, only with such synchronous investment can the transport infrastructure system be effective; it requires mobilizing the entire political system, mobilizing local contractors, forces such as women and youth to support this project; directing the intersections of the expressway to connect with industrial parks, new urban centers, etc.

Inspecting the Dong Khe tunnel (Thach An district) on the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway, the Prime Minister commended Deo Ca Group for digging and clearing two Dong Khe tunnels; requested the contractor to enhance skills training for the workforce; when implementing phase 2, the locality must strengthen and urgently speed up the progress of site clearance; and pay attention to taking care of workers at the construction site. The Prime Minister reminded everyone to unite and join hands to shoulder the common cause.
