Ha Giang solicits opinions on the project to reorganize the Fatherland Front and mass organizations and associations

The draft project to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of the Fatherland Front, mass organizations and associations comprehensively assesses the necessity of the reorganization, the bases for implementation and regulations on functions, tasks, apparatus organization; number of staff, labor contracts, headquarters, equipment, financial situation of the Fatherland Front system and socio-political organizations at all levels.

The principle of implementing the merger of advisory and support agencies with the Fatherland Front agencies; maintaining the legal status of socio-political organizations and mass associations to ensure effective and creative operations.

Specifically, it is expected to be organized into 10 committees and units (equivalent to department level) including: Office; Inspection Organization Committee; Committee for Democracy, supervision and social criticism; Committee for Propaganda and social work; Committee for Trade Union Work; Committee for Farmers' Work; Committee for Youth and Children's Work; Committee for Women's Work; Committee for Veterans' Work; Committee for Mass Association Work.

At the conference, delegates agreed with the policy of reorganizing the apparatus of the Fatherland Front, mass organizations and associations as well as the developed project.

Some delegates pointed out that the project needs to clearly define the time and roadmap for project implementation; the building of the Party organization after the reorganization; and clarify the arrangement of job positions for contract staff of mass organizations.
