The series of activities takes place from April 26 to May 3, including 5 major events: Sports Tournament to celebrate Southern Liberation Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1); 2nd Ha Long Beer and Squid Festival; 2nd Lion and Dragon Dance Festival; Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival.

The focus of the event series is the Ha Long Carnival 2025 program with the theme “Connecting Heritage - Pioneering the Shining” takes place from 8:10 p.m. on May 1, 2025 at Sun Carnival Square, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City. The program has the participation of over 1,000 professional and non-professional actors, with a grandstand of 15,000 seats. A series of attractive cultural, artistic and sports activities held on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday have contributed to the boom of Ha Long tourism . From April 30 to May 4, the city welcomed 651,920 visitors (equal to 123% compared to the same period in 2024), of which international visitors reached 46,071 (equal to 134% compared to the same period in 2024); total tourism revenue reached 1,829.3 billion VND (equal to 156% compared to the same period in 2024). Average room occupancy rate reached 82%, some large hotels reached 100%. Small accommodation establishments also welcomed a record number of guests. Some destinations that attract a lot of tourists are: Museum, Quang Ninh Library, Ocean Park, Sun Wheel, Ha Long Bay, Hon Gai Beach...

Accumulated from April 30 to May 4, Ha Long Bay welcomed 96,974 visitors, equal to 115% compared to the same period in 2024, including 63,070 Vietnamese visitors and 33,904 foreign visitors. The fee for visiting Ha Long Bay reached over 23.8 billion VND, equal to 101% compared to the same period in 2024.
