The Government Office has just issued a document conveying the Prime Minister's opinion on focusing on removing obstacles for the 10,000 billion VND flood prevention project in Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, based on the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the opinion of the City Party Secretary, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed:

Request the Minister of Planning and Investment (MPI), the Governor of the State Bank and the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to urgently and seriously implement the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatch No. 9050/VPCP-NN, dated December 9.

The head of the Government also requested the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to proactively work with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies to urgently propose solutions to handle the project's problems and report to the Prime Minister before December 20.

In addition, the Prime Minister also requested the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to direct and urge the City People's Committee and relevant agencies to focus on resolving project problems under the city's authority.

The document also emphasizes that for issues beyond authority, it is necessary to proactively coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies to urgently propose to the Government and the Prime Minister feasible and effective solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles of the project, avoiding delays, prolongation, loss, waste of assets, state budget and damage to investors.
