On the morning of June 24, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai received and worked with the delegation of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam led by Mr. Lam Dich Dan - Deputy Chief Representative of the Office. Also attending were a number of Taiwanese organizations and businesses in Vietnam; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Ha Tinh province. |
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai introduced the potentials, advantages, socio-economic situation of the province, investment attraction work in Ha Tinh and some cooperation activities with Taiwanese organizations and enterprises in recent times.

Ha Tinh is located on strategic regional traffic axes; has 2 national key economic zones, the largest deep-water seaport in the region; is the gateway to trade of the East-West economic corridor; has 5 cultural heritages honored by UNESCO.
In the first months of 2023, despite many difficulties, Ha Tinh still maintained its momentum of comprehensive socio-economic recovery and development; attracting many large domestic and foreign corporations to continue to come to learn, survey, and promote investment in the area. Ha Tinh is among the top 10 localities attracting the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country, in which Taiwanese enterprises and investors are particularly important investment partners for Ha Tinh.
The cooperative relationship between Ha Tinh province and Taiwanese localities, organizations and enterprises has always been maintained and developed by all parties. The Formosa Son Duong Port and Steel Complex project has greatly contributed to economic growth as well as ensuring social security in the province.

In order to further strengthen the sustainable cooperative relationship between Ha Tinh and Taiwanese organizations and enterprises, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province proposed that the delegation of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam support the connection, propaganda, connection, and promotion of the potential and advantages of Ha Tinh province, thereby attracting Taiwanese partners to increase research and investment in Ha Tinh.
At the same time, pay attention to supporting the province with non-refundable aid and non- governmental aid sources for disadvantaged areas; create favorable conditions for Ha Tinh enterprises and Taiwanese enterprises to increase contact, exchange, research, joint ventures, investment links, and cooperation in various fields; support Ha Tinh to research the Taiwanese market demand for key products that Ha Tinh can export; create favorable conditions for Ha Tinh workers to work in Taiwan.
Ha Tinh commits to promptly coordinate and accompany Taiwanese organizations, businesses and investors to effectively implement programs, projects and cooperation activities with the province in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lam Dich Dan - Deputy Chief Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam emphasized that in recent times, Taiwan and Vietnam and Ha Tinh in particular have had many effective cooperation programs, especially in job creation and cooperation in training and fostering human resources. This visit and working session will further strengthen the solidarity and cooperation between Taiwan - Vietnam and Taiwanese organizations and enterprises with Ha Tinh.

Regarding the situation of Taiwanese enterprises operating in Vietnam and the potential and strengths of Taiwan, Mr. Lam Dich Dan affirmed that he will continue to support and cooperate with Ha Tinh in various fields; facilitate the reception of Ha Tinh workers to work in Taiwan and look forward to receiving high-quality labor from Vietnam as well as Ha Tinh. At the same time, he hopes that the Ha Tinh government will continue to create conditions for Taiwanese enterprises to research and explore investment cooperation opportunities in the area.
