Enjoy the pure beauty through 75 lotus paintings

NDO - On the afternoon of March 25, at Quan Su Pagoda, Hanoi, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Vietnamese Lotus Art 2023 - Pure Beauty" took place, displaying 75 lotus paintings by artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the United NationsEducational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

The pure symbolic meanings of the lotus flower and the pure wishes of artist Kim Duc have received high appreciation from UNESCO Hanoi and become the co-organizer of this exhibition.

With those meanings, the exhibition hopes to bring positive emotions, motivating each person to love life and people more, overcome all circumstances, take strength and love as a pure friend and companion, and nurture many aspirations for a bright future.

Through the exhibition, the Organizing Committee wishes to spread the Buddha's message of peace , honor the artistic creation and practice from the pure and innocent beauty of the lotus - the eternal flower, representing the journey to find beauty in the soul, searching and resonating with like-minded hearts to create values ​​and beauty of truth and goodness.

As a person with a connection to Buddhism, artist Kim Duc has devoted much of her heart to this exhibition. Each work is a special sentiment that the author wants to convey. The 75 lotus works on display are a testament to the artist's spirit and strong will. Before that, she had researched and read many documents about lotus, including ancient books and foreign documents...

The exhibition is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from March 26 to March 31 at the 1st floor hall of Quan Su Pagoda (69 Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).
