The Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and supported people affected by storm No. 13 in Xuan Lanh commune.

The delegation included comrades: Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the delegation, in charge of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Dao An Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the delegation, in charge of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and leaders of the Provincial Police and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Leaders gave gifts to support people of Xuan Lanh commune.

At the places visited, the leaders listened to local representatives report on the damage and post-storm recovery work in the commune.

According to the report of Xuan Lanh Commune People's Committee, storm No. 13 killed 2 people, injured 3 people, and damaged 1,305 houses from partial to complete. The agriculture and forestry sector suffered serious damage, including about 12,000 hectares of hybrid acacia trees that were broken, causing great losses to the forestry sector and forest planting enterprises. Total damage is estimated at more than 263 billion VND.

Leaders visited and encouraged Mr. Phan Ngoc Thanh's family.

The delegation sent condolences and encouragement to the affected households, shared the difficulties and losses of the people and local authorities; and at the same time presented 120 million VND to support the people of Xuan Lanh commune, contributing to helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production.

Representing the working delegation, comrade Pham Dai Duong praised the locality's proactive and urgent spirit in mobilizing forces and means to provide relief and overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

He emphasized that, in the immediate future, the locality needs to focus on ensuring safe housing for households whose houses have collapsed or had their roofs blown off, and restoring essential infrastructure systems such as electricity, water, and transportation; at the same time, mobilizing social resources, organizations, and businesses to join hands to support people to soon stabilize their lives; building a plan to restore production in a more sustainable direction, having solutions to support people in borrowing capital, providing suitable plant varieties, and helping restore damaged planted forests.

Leaders visited and encouraged Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang's family.

On this occasion, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented 10 million VND/household to the families of Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang and Mr. Phan Ngoc Thanh (both in village 4, Xuan Lanh commune), two victims who unfortunately died in storm No. 13. Here, the leaders expressed their condolences, hoping that the families would soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives.
