Construction progress of Long Binh 1 bridge reaches 64% of construction volume

Long Binh 1 Bridge is in the foundation pouring stage, preparing to install the mid-span girder.

Comrade Nguyen Van Lieu, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh City People's Committee, said: The project to build Long Binh 1 bridge across Long Binh river was approved by Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee in 2022, with a total investment of 63 billion VND, from the provincial budget. Tra Vinh City Construction Investment Project Management Board is the investor; the form of investment is new construction, the project implementation time is 377 days.

It is known that the Long Binh 1 Bridge Construction Project is constructed by the Joint Venture of Nguyen Trinh Production - Trade Private Enterprise and Tuan Hien Company Limited. The project started on June 13, 2023; expected to be completed on June 30, 2024. The investment scale for the construction of a permanent reinforced concrete bridge, total bridge length of 54m, including 03 spans (15m + 24m + 15m); bridge deck width of 12m (vehicle width of 09m, bridge access road length of 164.743m, including the main bridge section of 58.1m).

According to comrade Nguyen Van Lieu, by May 15, the contractor had completed the construction of MA and MB piers, completed the construction of T1 pier, poured concrete for T2 pier body, processed steel reinforcement to prepare for pouring concrete for T2 pier beam, and completed the installation of 15m span beams (from MA pier to T1 pier). Currently, the contractor and construction unit are focusing resources, personnel, and equipment to speed up the progress of completing the project on time as approved.

Tra Vinh City People's Committee directed the City Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with construction contractors, supervise, urge, and closely coordinate to ensure absolute safety during the construction process, speed up progress to ensure as committed.
