Tien Giang: Launching the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign

(ABO) On the morning of May 28, at the Tien Giang Provincial Children's House, the Tien Giang Provincial Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign Steering Committee (referred to as the Campaign Steering Committee) held the launching ceremony of the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Campaign Steering Committee; Nguyen Quang Minh, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Campaign Steering Committee; along with representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, units of the Armed Forces, localities and nearly 300 union members, youth and student volunteers from Youth Union bases throughout the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Campaign Steering Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu emphasized: "After more than 30 years of implementing the Youth Volunteer Movement, the Summer Campaign has become a familiar activity for union members and young people to devote themselves, study and mature, dare to face challenges and difficulties; attracting more and more union members and young people inside and outside the province to participate in the activities. The community and social nature in each program and campaign is increasingly evident; the spirit of the volunteer soldiers has inspired and spread widely in the social community".

In order for the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign to be successful, comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu requested all levels, sectors, members of the Campaign Steering Committee and all youth volunteers to closely follow the set goals, requirements and key objectives, and organize the freshest and most creative Volunteer Campaign season. So that the 2025 Campaign can achieve the highest and best results.

The 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is organized with the "Supporting Exam Season" Program and 4 major campaigns including: "Green Summer", "Red Flamboyant", "Pink Vacation", "Green March".

Participants are mobilized from many groups such as union members, local youth, university and college students, armed forces, cadres, civil servants and young officials. During the campaign, the youth of the whole province will focus on implementing key contents such as: Supporting candidates participating in the High School Graduation Exam; building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; protecting the environment; responding to climate change; promoting digital transformation, administrative reform; caring for children and people in difficult circumstances...

I believe that each union member, youth, and each Youth Union - Association will turn their volunteer spirit, desire to share and contribute into specific actions, creative and effective work, contributing to the overall results of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign".

For the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, the Standing Committee of Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union set specific and outstanding targets such as: Mobilizing 500,000 youth union members to participate in volunteer activities; repairing and renovating at least 100 km of rural roads; planting 120,000 new trees; supporting 10 innovative start-up projects; providing career counseling for 20,000 youth; introducing at least 200 outstanding youth union members to the Party for consideration of admission; selecting commune-level locations to organize at least 1 campaign launch of "Green Aspiration - For Clean Rivers", the whole province has at least 100 km of river implemented; supporting and helping 5,000 children in difficult circumstances; organizing at least 50 free swimming classes for children.

The Standing Committee of Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union donated resources to implement housing support projects to 11 Districts, Cities, and Towns in the province.

At the ceremony, the Campaign Steering Committee awarded 20 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances who have strived to study well. The Standing Committee of Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union donated resources to implement housing support projects, including building 6 new houses and repairing 5 houses, with a total cost of 400 million VND to 11 Districts, Cities, and Towns in the province.
