Reaching out and supporting people in Lau village in Tuong Duong after days of isolation due to floods
Lau Village (Tuong Duong Commune) is one of four villages completely isolated after the historic flood on July 22. After days of complete isolation, on the morning of July 26, relief teams were able to reach the village to support the local people.

Photo: Thanh Cuong Ms. Kha Thi Lien - a resident of Lau village recounted: "That day it rained heavily, the water rose quickly, my husband and I did not have time to get things, we only had time to ask our neighbors to carry the rice to the stilt house to avoid flooding. But then the water rose, flooded everything, there was nothing left in the house. All the soaked rice was now spoiled, we could only feed it to the chickens". "After that, the water rose quickly, we only had time to leave our belongings and run for our lives, so most of the household items such as the refrigerator and TV were broken," Mr. Hung shared. I am trying to fix the generator so that we can have electricity for our family soon," said Mr. Kha Van Hung.
