In the process of attracting investment, the People's Committee of Long An province directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to closely coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to ensure the right reception for sustainable development.

Along with attracting investment , the province pays special attention to solutions for environmental protection and adaptation to climate change . One of the key contents is tree planting to gradually build green spaces, green environments, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This activity is integrated into important propaganda occasions such as Earth Hour, Action Month for the Environment, International Day for Biological Diversity (May 22), World Environment Day (June 5), Campaign to Make the World Cleaner, etc.

Notably, environmental monitoring, forecasting and warning work in the province has also been strengthened. Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment operates 6 automatic monitoring stations, including 3 surface water monitoring stations located at the Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers and 3 air monitoring stations located in Duc Hoa, Ben Luc districts and Kien Tuong town. The stations are periodically maintained to ensure stable operation and timely troubleshooting when problems occur.

Through this monitoring system, water and air quality data are continuously monitored and supervised in areas greatly affected by socio-economic development activities. This is an important basis for proposing solutions to protect the quality of water sources in rivers and surrounding air, contributing to economic development while preserving a sustainable living environment for people./.
