Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued Official Dispatch 82/2025 on continuing to step up the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

The telegram stated that in recent times, ministries, branches, localities and functional forces have made great efforts in implementing the Prime Minister 's directives and telegrams on stepping up the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights and have initially achieved positive results. However, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights is still very complicated; coordination between ministries, branches and localities is sometimes and in some places not tight and effective.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to strengthen direction and urge functional forces to coordinate closely, continue to promote the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, fake milk, fake medicine, fake functional foods, foods that do not ensure quality, goods that infringe intellectual property rights; promptly detect and strictly handle violators. At the same time, strictly handle cadres, civil servants and officers who show signs of moral degradation, corruption, negativity, protection and assistance to law violators with the motto "handle one case, warn the whole region, the whole field", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".

The Prime Minister also requested the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to directly lead and closely direct local Party committees, authorities and the entire political system to proactively and actively participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations continue to closely coordinate with ministries, branches and localities in propagating and mobilizing the business community and people to actively and responsibly participate in the peak month and in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights to detect early, combat and prevent right from the grassroots, from the starting point...
