In the new phase, Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch continues to promote its role as a leading commercial bank, playing a key role in providing capital and banking services, serving agricultural and rural development.

On the morning of October 28, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) Ha Tinh II Branch held a ceremony to celebrate its 5th anniversary.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Ha Van Trong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau; representatives of Agribank Vietnam attended.

Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch was established on November 1, 2018 on the basis of separation from Agribank Ha Tinh Provincial Branch with a network of 19 transaction points (1 head office, 6 type II branches and 12 transaction offices with 248 officers and employees). Overcoming initial difficulties, the branch quickly reorganized its apparatus, built a dedicated and visionary leadership team and a professional, responsible and dedicated staff and employees for the Agribank brand.

Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch always promotes its pioneering role, seriously and effectively implementing monetary policies, especially credit policies for agricultural and rural development, contributing significantly to the stability and economic development of the province.

In recent years, the business community and people have been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic recession. Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch has flexibly and proactively implemented solutions to both ensure safe and effective credit operations and support customers to overcome difficulties. Specifically, the branch has implemented many loan packages with interest rate support, debt repayment restructuring, and loan interest rate reduction... so that customers can continue to reinvest in production, business, and serve consumption.

After 5 years of operation, Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch has completed the goals in the project when it was established, all business indicators have high growth. By September 30, 2023, the branch's capital and outstanding loans reached over VND 26,640 billion, an increase of VND 14,717 billion compared to the first day of establishment, an increase of 123%. Of which, the total mobilized capital reached over VND 13,145 billion (an increase of VND 7,299 billion, a growth rate of 125%), total outstanding loans reached over VND 13,495 billion (an increase of VND 7,418 billion, a growth rate of 122%, the ratio of agricultural and rural loans accounted for 85% of total outstanding loans with 45,000 customers); service scale was VND 45 billion (an average growth rate of 10%). The bad debt ratio is always below the allowed level, and the income of employees is always guaranteed. Currently, the branch ranks 3rd in terms of capital market share and first in the area in terms of outstanding loan market share.

Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch has always done a good job in social security and sponsoring the construction of new rural areas. Over the past 5 years, the branch has spent nearly 30 billion VND to support localities in building infrastructure, improving the quality of education and health care, and improving people's lives.

With its great contributions, Agribank Ha Tinh II has been awarded many certificates of merit by the State Bank of Vietnam, Agribank Vietnam, and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province. Notably, for 4 consecutive years (2019 - 2022), the branch has been awarded a certificate of merit by the General Director of Agirbank for "Excellent completion of tasks".

Mr. Tran Van Dung - Member of the Board of Members of Agribank Vietnam: Established and operating in the context of economic recession, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but with the efforts and solidarity of the collective; the initiative and creativity in the direction and management of the Board of Directors, Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch has achieved many achievements; sustainable and quality credit growth, making an important contribution to the growth of Agribank and the development of Ha Tinh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the State Bank of Ha Tinh province Nguyen Van Trung praised and congratulated the achievements of Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch in the past 5 years, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.

The Director of the provincial State Bank requested that the branch should promote the achieved results, continue to innovate and create to transform more strongly and comprehensively. In particular, it is necessary to continue to promote the role of the leading commercial bank in the area, playing a key role in providing capital and banking services for agricultural and rural development; continue to focus and prioritize capital sources for lending to the "three rural" sector.

At the same time, drastically and effectively deploy solutions to support the economy, focusing on implementing the 2% interest rate support policy according to Decree No. 31/2022 of the Government, the 50% interest rate support policy according to Resolution No. 51/2021 of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province, Circular No. 02/2023 of the State Bank of Vietnam on debt repayment period structure and maintaining debt groups for customers facing difficulties, a VND 120,000 billion credit package for social housing loans, a VND 15,000 billion credit package for forestry and fishery sectors. Promote digital transformation and digital banking services; continue to do a good job in social security work, and sponsor new rural construction.
