Continue to focus on reviewing and discussing many draft laws

On the first working day of the week, the National Assembly listened to presentations and reports on the examination of the draft Law on Judicial Assistance in Criminal Matters; the Law on Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters and discussed in the hall the draft laws that had been presented and discussed by the National Assembly delegations before: the Law on State Budget (amended), the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Civil Procedure Code, the Law on Administrative Procedures, the Law on Juvenile Justice, the Bankruptcy Law and the Law on Mediation and Dialogue in Court.

In the following working days (until May 29), the National Assembly will continue to consider and discuss the following projects: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Penal Code; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code; Law on State of Emergency; and Law on Railways (amended).

Along with that, the draft Laws amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Credit Institutions; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy...

On this week's agenda, the National Assembly will also consider draft resolutions of the National Assembly on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Rules of Procedure for National Assembly Sessions issued together with Resolution No. 71/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly; draft resolutions of the National Assembly on reducing value-added tax; draft resolutions of the National Assembly on piloting the People's Procuracy in initiating civil lawsuits to protect the civil rights of vulnerable groups or to protect public interests.

In particular, on the last working day of the first session, the National Assembly is expected to vote to pass the National Assembly Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development after listening to the report on receiving and revising the draft resolution.

From May 30 to June 10, 2025, the National Assembly will be on recess so that National Assembly agencies, the Government and relevant agencies can absorb, revise and complete draft laws and draft resolutions before entering the second phase of the session.
