Continue harvesting sugarcane and cassava in the 2024-2025 crop year

According to the Department of Crop Production and Livestock, over the past week, the progress of crop production has been good; farmers are continuing to harvest cassava and sugarcane for the 2024-2025 crop year.

Specifically, in the 2024-2025 crop year, farmers in the province have harvested 17,101 hectares out of 29,115 hectares of sugarcane in Son Hoa, Song Hinh, Dong Xuan and Phu Hoa districts, with an estimated average yield of about 580 quintals/ha with a selling price of 1,200-1,350 VND/kg. Cassava has been harvested from 22,134 hectares out of 23,774 hectares, with an estimated average yield of about 200 quintals/ha with a selling price of 1,800-2,600 VND/kg. In the 2025-2026 crop year alone, the province has planted 12,450 hectares of sugarcane and more than 16,671 hectares of cassava, which are in the seedling stage, developing stems and leaves.
