Nvidia's GeForce graphics card, first introduced in 1999, was used for gaming and launched in Korea in 2000.
Mr. Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Mr. Lee Jae-yong (Samsung) and Mr. Chung Eui-sun (Hyundai Motor Group) attended the event at the COEX convention center in Seoul, South Korea.

On stage, Mr. Huang shared: "I came to Korea when I was young and GeForce has grown with this country."
"Korea exports everything - K-pop, K-drama, K-beauty, K-style and K-GeForce. I came to the APEC meeting at the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung. When I first came to Korea, Nvidia was small but now it has become the biggest company," he added.
"A lot of Nvidia investors are here," he said to cheers. "If it weren't for GeForce, PC gaming, gaming rooms or e- sports , there wouldn't be NVIDIA today."
He credits GeForce with helping to create the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution.

According to The Chosun Daily, Mr. Huang talked about his past connection with the late Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee.
"In 1996, I received a letter by post, not an email, from Korea. The letter was very well written. This letter is the reason I came to Korea. I want everyone to know that Korea has always been the core of NVIDIA. You have contributed to NVIDIA's success and Korea will achieve great things in the future," said the Nvidia leader.

The three then went to a Kkanbu Chicken restaurant in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
The meeting, dubbed the "chimaek" (beer chicken) conference by the Korean press, has become the center of attention because of the rare intimacy between leaders of major corporations.
Industry insiders see the "chimaek conference" as the start of a strong AI alliance between Nvidia, Samsung and Hyundai Motor Group.
According to Bloomberg, Nvidia plans to supply AI chips worth trillions of won to Samsung, Hyundai and SK Group. South Korea needs AI-enhancing tools to develop the industry, while Nvidia aims to dominate the Korean market.
