The iPhone 17 Pro, launching next September, will have a completely new camera cluster design, information has just been revealed by a reliable source.
Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Pro series will still have a rear camera cluster with 3 lenses arranged in a familiar triangular shape, but will be placed in a new rectangular camera bar with rounded corners, according to YouTube channel Front Page Tech .

In a newly posted video , Jon Prosser, host of the Front Page Tech channel, said that the camera bar on the iPhone 17 Pro will be significantly larger than many concept renders that have appeared before.
Specifically, the camera lenses are arranged on the left side of the bar, while the LED flash, microphone and LiDAR scanner are arranged vertically on the right side.
Prosser also said that the iPhone 17 Pro will have a two-tone finish, with the camera bar being darker than the rest of the back.
It's unclear at this point whether this change offers any practical benefits or is simply for aesthetic purposes.
Jon Prosser claims that information about this design comes from various sources who know the iPhone 17 Pro well. Prosser even claims to have seen the device with his own eyes.

Based on how Apple maintains consistency in design, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely have a similar camera bar as well, although Prosser has not confirmed it.
Additionally, the rumored ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air version will also have a rear camera bar, but only with a single camera. It is unclear whether the standard iPhone 17 will adopt this design or not, but to ensure consistency across the product line, it is possible.
Google's Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro also use the rear camera bar design, but the lenses are arranged horizontally instead of the iPhone's signature triangle.
Jon Prosser is a popular tech YouTuber with over a decade of experience covering Apple. However, his accuracy isn't always perfect.
In 2020, Prosser was the first source to reveal the design of the AirTag, months before it was announced.
The leakster also shared a number of accurate details about the iPad mini 6, months before the device was announced.
However, Prosser and many other sources are wrong about the Apple Watch Series 7 having flat edges (the device launched with a rounded design), although Apple may have experimented with such a design.
In addition to the iPhone 17 Pro, Prosser also claims that iOS 19 will feature a completely redesigned camera app, inspired by visionOS, with transparent buttons and menus.
Meanwhile, the low-cost iPhone SE 4 model is likely to be announced by Apple next week. According to information from Bloomberg expert Mark Gurman, iPhone SE 4 "is expected to be announced next week".
A notable recent move is that CEO Tim Cook shared a hint about Apple launching a new product on February 19. The post, accompanied by the hashtag #AppleLaunch , along with a short video with the Apple logo inside a circle of Tim Cook on the X, attracted the attention of Apple fans. Mark Gurman commented: "Tim Cook is teasing the new iPhone SE".

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series in September, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air. Between now and then, there will certainly be more leaked information about these new iPhone models.
