The Government has just approved the Project “Training and developing human resources to serve nuclear power development until 2035”. According to the plan, by 2030, nearly 4,000 human resources will be trained to serve the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants.

Priority for training includes university graduates in related fields, who have committed to serving the 2 Ninh Thuan nuclear power plants in specific phases.
In addition, first- and second-year students from domestic universities also have the opportunity to participate in international training if they meet the conditions and have a clear commitment. The project also focuses on training and short-term internships in specialized skills on management and operation of nuclear power plants for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and experts who are managing in ministries, branches, and working in the field of nuclear power at training and research institutions (about 700 people). At the same time, knowledge is updated for lecturers, researchers, and technicians currently teaching at universities, research institutes, and colleges that train in nuclear power majors (about 450 people).
Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper published the news : "What does Southern Power Corporation say about the proposal to abolish power corporations?"
The Southern Power Corporation has just sent a report to the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) at the request of the Ministry of Finance regarding the citizen's petition. According to the petition of the citizen with an address in Binh Dinh province: "With the policy of merging provinces, the number of provinces and cities will be about 50%, so assigning production and business planning targets to provincial power companies will be convenient for EVN. Ending the operations of the regional power corporations to streamline the apparatus, reduce management and operation points, reduce intermediaries to improve production and business efficiency, and reduce electricity costs is really necessary and urgent and cannot be delayed any longer."
According to the report of the Southern Power Corporation, the model of regional power corporations has been playing a pivotal role in ensuring a stable, continuous and safe power supply nationwide. This model with a hierarchical structure according to geographical areas has proven effective in ensuring national energy security. The Southern Power Corporation is the unit that directly manages, operates and invests in the development of the power grid system, distributes and retails electricity, and brings electricity to every household, business and industrial park in 21 southern provinces and cities.
Maintaining this model is a key factor to ensure power supply security, serving socio-economic development and people's lives. In addition, the Corporation also carries out many important political and social tasks such as providing electricity to remote areas, islands, participating in social security activities, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue. "The dissolution or major change in the operating model of the corporations will cause serious disruptions in the investment process, affecting the progress, efficiency of projects and energy security" - Southern Power Corporation affirmed.

Nhan Dan Online Newspaper published the news: "Pangasius fish exports to the EU market maintain growth momentum"
According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in terms of consumption markets, pangasius exports to the European Union (EU) continued to maintain a growth rate of 9%, with a value of 16 million USD in April. The Netherlands remains the largest and most stable importer of Vietnamese pangasius products in the bloc. In the first 4 months of the year, pangasius exports to the Netherlands reached 17 million USD, up 15% over the same period.
Meanwhile, China and Hong Kong (China) continue to affirm themselves as the number 1 market for pangasius consumption in Vietnam. In April alone, pangasius exports to this market reached more than 44 million USD, up 7% over the same period in 2024. The total export value of pangasius to China and Hong Kong (China) in the first 4 months of the year reached more than 149 million USD, down 2% over the same period.
VASEP believes that to proactively respond to global trade fluctuations, Vietnamese seafood processing and exporting enterprises need to continue to promote exports. At the same time, actively diversify markets and expand exports of other white fish products such as tilapia and red tilapia.
Brazil remains a strong single market consuming pangasius products from Vietnam, especially frozen pangasius fillets. |
Tin Tuc newspaper reported: "New Zealand and Vietnam strengthen cooperation in wood export".
According to a reporter in Oceania, New Zealand Trade Minister Todd McClay recently announced a new cooperation agreement between New Zealand and Vietnam to increase timber exports and remove potential trade barriers to the forestry industry between the two countries.
The agreement will allow New Zealand radiata pine to be recognised under Vietnam’s evolving timber construction standards, opening up further opportunities in this growing market.
Minister Todd McClay said the agreement would increase the NZ$2.68 billion ($1.59 billion) two-way trade between Vietnam and New Zealand and significantly boost the NZ$48 million worth of sawn timber New Zealand currently exports to Vietnam. He said Vietnam’s economy had doubled in size over the past decade and was expected to see the fastest income growth globally in the future. That meant more construction, more demand for sustainable products and more opportunities for New Zealand timber.
The agreement adds value to New Zealand's timber products and opens up opportunities beyond log exports, boosting export potential and helping to double New Zealand's export value in 10 years.

Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported: "Toy market on June 1: Branded products with full information about origin are popular".
International Children's Day on June 1st is the peak time for the toy industry, when consumer demand increases, especially in the children's gift segment. However, this year's toy market has witnessed a clear change.
Poor quality goods of unknown origin have almost disappeared from public distribution channels. Instead, branded products, which are inspected and have full information about their origin, are dominating the market.
Unofficial statistics from some major distributors in Hanoi show that this year, toy purchasing power has not decreased compared to previous years, but the market has “changed its skin”. The absence of products of unclear origin, which used to account for a large proportion in traditional markets and e-commerce platforms, has brought considerable peace of mind to consumers.
