Coffee prices today, May 7, 2025, in key areas of the Central Highlands showed a slight downward trend, reflecting market adjustments after a period of fluctuations. According to the latest data, the average coffee price reached about 128,620 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg compared to previous days, showing relative stability but also potential for small changes in the short term.

Today's downward trend in coffee prices could be a signal of supply and demand balance.
Today's downward trend in coffee prices could be a signal of supply and demand balance.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, coffee prices reached 128,300 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg; Lam Dong recorded a price of 128,000 VND/kg, also down 200 VND/kg; Gia Lai maintained the price of 128,300 VND/kg with a similar decrease of 200 VND/kg; while Dak Nong had the highest price in the region at 128,500 VND/kg, but still down 200 VND/kg compared to before. The uniformity in price reductions in these regions shows a general trend, possibly related to abundant supply or pressure from the international market.

In addition, pepper prices in the Central Highlands were recorded at VND 155,000/kg, unchanged (VND 0/kg), showing stability in this segment amid adjustments in coffee. Meanwhile, the USD/VND exchange rate reached VND 25,750, down slightly by VND 10, reflecting some small fluctuations in the foreign exchange market, which may indirectly affect coffee export prices. The downward trend in coffee prices today may be a signal of supply and demand balance, especially when compared to higher prices in mid-March 2025 (for example, Dak Nong reached VND 133,000/kg). However, the current price is still in a stable range, showing potential for recovery in the coming time if factors such as weather or international demand improve.

News, forecast for coffee prices tomorrow, May 8, 2025, domestic coffee prices continue to decline

Domestic coffee prices on May 8, 2025 are forecast to continue to decline but not change much compared to today, fluctuating around 128,000 - 129,000 VND/kg. Some places like Dak Lak or Gia Lai may see prices increase slightly by 100 - 200 VND/kg if export companies start buying more.

Today, May 7, 2025, domestic coffee prices have decreased slightly, but remain high compared to before, thanks to limited coffee supply and stable demand from businesses. In the world, coffee prices are somewhat mixed: Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor increased slightly, while Robusta coffee prices on the London floor decreased slightly because investors are taking profits and are concerned about global supply. This shows that the domestic coffee market is stable, thanks to the balance between available coffee and buyers.

Looking further ahead, coffee prices on May 8, 2025 may remain stable, but it also depends on international news. If Brazil – a major coffee producer – experiences bad weather or major markets such as the EU and the US reduce purchases, prices may be affected. However, with a good export trend, coffee prices still have a chance to remain stable. In the first 4 months of 2025, Vietnam exported coffee with a turnover of up to 3.78 billion USD, an increase of more than 51% over the same period last year, thanks to higher selling prices (average 5,698 USD/ton, up 67.5%). Although the amount of coffee exported in the first quarter decreased by 15.3% compared to the previous year, this helped support domestic Robusta prices due to less supply.

In summary, coffee prices on May 8, 2025 may remain flat or increase slightly, depending on the international situation and buying and selling demand. If you are a grower or interested, follow closely to seize the opportunity!
