Phu Tho Province visits and connects businesses in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, China

From April 26-28, a high-ranking delegation of Phu Tho province led by Mr. Bui Minh Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Phu Tho province visited and worked in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China.

During the working visit, on the afternoon of April 27, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the grave of martyr Pham Hong Thai to commemorate the revolutionary predecessor's contributions and express deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifice of comrade Pham Hong Thai for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.

Next, the delegation visited the historical site of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association headquarters, a place associated with President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary career from 1924-1927. Here, Phu Tho Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau and the delegation were moved to witness images recording the time President Ho Chi Minh was active in the revolution in Guangzhou, where he was directly in charge and the main lecturer of 3 political training classes, training cadres for the Vietnamese revolution. His lectures were collected and published in the book "The Revolutionary Path", a handbook for the activities of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, one of the first theoretical documents of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

On the same afternoon, the delegation visited and worked with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou. Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau said that the province is very interested in promoting foreign affairs, especially contributing to strengthening the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1950-2025) and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025; building political trust by implementing extensive and practical cooperation in areas where the two sides have potential, strengths and needs. Along with that, Phu Tho province is very interested in building brands and developing key products, OCOP products to not only meet domestic consumption needs but also aim for export.

According to Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau, Phu Tho is currently an attractive destination for foreign investors, including nearly 50 investment projects of investors from China with main production and business sectors such as fiber, textile, garment, footwear, plastic, electronic components, wood manufacturing and processing... In particular, Chinese enterprises have made significant contributions to the provincial budget and created stable jobs for thousands of local workers.

On this occasion, the leaders of Phu Tho province expressed their wish that the Consulate General would promote its role as a bridge to support the province in introducing and promoting its potential advantages and investment attraction policies in the fields of economics, trade, tourism, services, etc. to Chinese partners; support the province in attracting potential and strong Chinese investors to invest in the province in the fields of trade, services, agricultural processing for export, processing and manufacturing industries with high technology content and environmental friendliness, etc.

At the same time, Phu Tho province hopes that the Consulate General will support in promoting trade promotion activities, developing and expanding markets, and promoting the export of the province's goods to China, especially local agricultural products with strengths.

At the meeting, Vietnamese Consul General in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung informed the delegation about the strengths of Guangdong province, one of the localities with the most developed economy in China for 36 consecutive years. Effective cooperation policies have helped the province take the lead in trade turnover not only with Vietnam but also with many other countries in the world.

Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung affirmed that within the scope of its functions, the Consulate General will support the province in connecting with agencies, units and enterprises of Guangdong province for the practical benefits of Phu Tho province.
