According to a survey, currently most large and small electronics supermarkets in Hanoi are implementing super attractive promotional programs to attract customers at the end of 2024.
Among them, televisions are the products with the most attractive promotions, with discounts of up to 90%. These promotions make some models cost less than 3 million VND/unit.
The heavily discounted TV still comes with a two-year warranty and comes with an attractive gift.
Specifically, at Media Mart, the Skyworth 32-inch 32TB2000 TV from Indonesia costs only 2.89 million VND. This price comes with a two-year warranty. Or the 32-inch Sharp 2T-C32BD1X TV costs only 2.99 million VND with a two-year warranty. Notably, both of these TVs come with a free electric kettle worth 279,000 VND.
For higher-end TVs, this supermarket chain is also offering big promotions. For example, Samsung smart TV UA43U7700 is reduced by 50% to 7.9 million VND; Samsung smart TV 4K 65AU7002 is reduced by 49% compared to the listed price, only 10.89 million VND; Samsung smart TV UA43T6500 is reduced by 50%, down to 5.9 million VND...
LG Smart TV 55UP7550PTC reduced by 55%, from 15.9 million VND to 7.09 million VND; Sony Google TV KD-43X80J/S reduced by 54%, from 18.5 million VND to 8.4 million VND; Sony Google TV KD-50X80J/S reduced by 55%, from 21.5 million VND to 9.4 million VND...
At the Dien May Xanh supermarket chain, a series of new TV products are also being deeply discounted by 40 - 70%. For example, the LG smart TV NanoCell 65NANO76SQA is 43% off the listed price, now only 16.89 million VND; Toshiba Google TV 65C350LP is 42% off, now 11.9 million VND...
Even deeper discounts are offered on some display TV models, which are discounted up to 70%, such as the Samsung Smart TV NEO QLED 4K 55-inch QA55QN85A, currently priced at 12.5 million VND; the LG 4K OLED smart TV 48-inch 48C1PTB is now 11.9 million VND.
The TVs on display at the HC electronics supermarket system are even discounted up to 90%, from hundreds of millions of dong when they were first launched to only a few tens of millions of dong now. For example, the Samsung 4K 75-inch QLED smart TV QA75Q9FAM is discounted 87%, from 199 million dong to 25.9 million dong; the Sharp 4K 70-inch LC-70UD1X smart TV is discounted 88%, from 125 million dong to 14.99 million dong...
Despite the deep discounts, TVs are not attracting many customers. Mr. Bui Anh Tu, TV manager at an electronics supermarket in Cau Giay (Hanoi), said that TV purchasing power has never decreased as much as this year.
In addition to discounts and free gifts, electronics supermarkets even offer free installation and free shipping for televisions, but that still fails to attract customers.
“Nowadays, TVs seem to be just for decoration, rarely used because people’s habit of using smartphones and tablets is becoming more and more popular. TV sales this year have decreased by at least 30% compared to previous years, each month is lower than the previous month even though we run at least one attractive promotion every month,” said Mr. Tu.
