Celebrating the longevity of the elderly in 2025

Recently, the Elderly Association of Residential Area No. 1 held a longevity celebration, wishing longevity to 77 members aged 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100 years old, and at the same time summarizing the work of the association in 2024.

The Elderly Association of Residential Area No. 1 has 230 members in 7 groups. In 2024, the Association did a good job of propagating and mobilizing all members to comply with the policies of the Party and the State, propagating the Law on the Elderly and the Charter of the Vietnam Elderly Association, and recruiting 12 new members. The Association also has many forms of activities such as the movement "Clean houses, clean streets, beautiful capital" which is responded to by all members. The elderly in the Association promote the role of "Old age - Bright example", contributing many useful ideas and experiences to the Party committee and government.

Ms. Huynh Mai Huong, President of the Elderly Association of Lang Thuong Ward, presented longevity certificates to the elderly aged 85 - 90.

Speaking at the longevity celebration of the association, Ms. Huynh Mai Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Elderly Association of Lang Thuong Ward affirmed: "The elderly have a tradition of solidarity and patriotism, are a generation of people who have experienced the historical stages of the Vietnamese Revolution, have the merit of giving birth and raising their children, have an important position and role in the family and society, the words, actions and deeds of the elderly are shining examples for the younger generation to follow". At the same time, she expressed her wish that the Elderly Association of Residential Area No. 1 closely coordinate with the Elderly Association of the ward to implement the State's policies for the elderly such as monthly allowances; longevity celebrations, longevity wishes; periodic health check-ups for the elderly, timely support for funeral expenses when the elderly pass away.... /.
