The festival is organized to honor and promote the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Southern amateur music, contributing to maintaining healthy cultural and artistic activities in the community, enhancing exchanges and sharing of experiences between amateur music clubs in the Mekong Delta region.

The festival takes place from November 13 to 15, 2025
According to the plan, the Festival will take place from November 13 to 15, 2025 at the Southern Amateur Music and Musician Cao Van Lau Memorial Site, Bac Lieu Ward, Ca Mau Province. The program includes musical and singing performances in the Nam, Bac, Ha, Oan and Vong Co styles, with diverse performance forms: solo, duet, ensemble, solo, duet. Each unit participating in the program will perform for 30 to 45 minutes, ensuring artistry and consistent themes.
Participants are amateur musicians and singers in amateur music clubs in the provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta. Each province invites one team to participate, with Ca Mau province having at least two teams. The participating teams will compete in the categories of collective awards, performance awards and several other secondary awards.
The first expanded Southern Amateur Music Festival of Ca Mau province is a unique cultural and artistic activity within the series of events of the Ca Mau Crab Festival 2025, contributing to promoting the image of the land, people, and culture of Ca Mau and promoting the development of local cultural and ecological tourism .
